The Acts of the Apostles is a historical book included in the New Testament, where it records the growth of the early church as well as the spread of the Gospel since the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It begins with the band of Jesus’ disciples who were cowering in fear in the upper room, where the story progresses to include the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Jerusalem after Jesus Christ was raised to heaven, followed by the spread and growth of Christianity throughout the Roman Empire.
