Penyata<\/span> Iman<\/span><\/h2>\n

Our Beliefs<\/span><\/h3>\n

At Wawasan Penabur, we accept and proclaim the historic truths of the Christian faith including the following:<\/p>\n

We hold that the Lord our God is one:<\/strong>
\nFather, Son and Holy Spirit,
\nand that he fulfils his sovereign purposes
\n– in creation, revelation, redemption, judgement,
\nand the coming of his kingdom \u2013
\nby calling out from the world a people
\nunited to himself and to each other in love.<\/p>\n

We acknowledge that though God made us
\n<\/strong>in his own likeness and image,
\nconferring on us dignity and worth
\nand enabling us to respond to Himself,
\nwe now are members of a fallen race;
\nwe have sinned and come short of His glory.<\/p>\n

We believe that the Father<\/strong>
\nhas shown us his holy love
\nin giving Jesus Christ, his only Son, for us,
\nwhile through our sinfulness and guilt,
\nwe were subject to his wrath and condemnation;
\nand has shown his grace
\nby putting sinners right with himself
\nwhen they place their trust in his Son.<\/p>\n

We confess Jesus Christ as Lord and God;<\/strong>
\nas truly human, born of the virgin Mary;
\nas Servant, sinless, full of grace and truth;
\nas only Mediator and Saviour,
\ndying on the cross in our place, representing us to God,
\nredeeming us from the grip,
\nguilt and punishment of sin;
\nas Victor over Satan and all his forces,
\nrising from death with a glorious body,
\nbeing taken up to be with his Father,
\none day returning personally in glory and judgement
\nto establish his kingdom.<\/p>\n

We believe in the Holy Spirit
\n<\/strong>who convicts the world of guilt in regard to sin,
\nrighteousness and judgement;
\nwho makes the death of Christ effective to sinners,
\ndeclaring that they must now turn to Christ in repentance,
\nand directing their trust towards the Lord Jesus Christ;
\nwho through the new birth makes us partake in the life of the risen Christ, and
\nwho is present within all believers,
\nilluminating their minds to grasp the truth of Scripture,
\nproducing in them his fruit,
\nranting to them his gifts,
\nand empowering them for service in the world.<\/p>\n

We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures<\/strong>
\nare God-breathed, since their writers spoke from God
\nas they were moved by the Holy Spirit; hence
\nare fully trustworthy in all that they affirm; and
\nare our highest authority for faith and life.<\/p>\n

We recognise the Church<\/strong>
\nas the body of Christ, held together and growing up in him; both
\nas a total fellowship throughout the world, and
\nas the local congregation in which believers gather<\/p>\n

We acknowledge the commission of Christ<\/strong>
\nto proclaim the Good News to all people,
\nmaking them disciples, and
\nteaching them to obey him.<\/p>\n

And <\/strong><\/p>\n

We acknowledge the command of Christ<\/strong>
\nto love our neighbours,
\nresulting in service to the church and society,
\nin seeking reconciliation for all with God and their fellows,
\nin proclaiming liberty from every kind of oppression;
\nand in spreading Christ’s justice in an unjust world<\/p>\n

… Until He comes again.<\/strong><\/p>\n
