Praise God for the recent “East Malaysia Awareness: Seminar, Dialogue & Cultural Performances” jointly organized by Wawasan Penabur & BM Commission NECF.  244 participants attended the seminar & dialogue which aimed to raise awareness of the current challenges and issues faced by our Bahasa speaking brethrens (especially in Sabah, Sarawak and the Orang Asli). With the theme, “What does the LORD require of you?” (Micah 6:8), we pray that all of us will not just make aware, but will also be challenged to do something for the BM speaking Christians.  Actions have to be taken.  We should, as God’s people in this land, be doers not just hearers, to the issues affecting the Bahasa speaking churches and Christians.
	Our speakers and panelist gave very informative information that not only opened our mind, but also our hearts to respond to the needs. We pray that the participants’ spiritual eyes and ears were open to see what are the issues affecting the BM speaking Christians from Sabah, Sarawak and the Orang Asli. On purpose we didn’t list down the speakers and topics covered. But we must say that God has placed each of them (and us) in different areas of influences so they (and we) can impact the people around us. The cultural performance in the evening was a big success as well.  With the theme “Cultural Journey Through Sabah & Sarawak”, we have highlighted various tribes that currently going thru some ‘systematic encroachment’.  Many for the first time heard about small tribes like Dusun Kimaragang, Dusun tabilung, Kadazan Papar, various Orang Ulu tribes etc.
	The Lord visited us that night when people start intercede for the various tribes as they performance their traditional dances. A total of 9 Bahasa speaking churches have participated in the cultural performances and well attended by 380 people. To God be the glory!
